This week we covered the fundamental theorem of calculus, the defining part of this year, the most important thing we can learn in our high school career. Just kidding, the theorem is just the thing that links derivatives to integrals. I enjoyed learning how these two things are linked, even if I still don't understand it fully. I understand it well enough to complete the assignments and do classwork, but I haven't figured out what exactly why it's important or groundbreaking. This is probably because I learned how to use derivatives and integrals before I learned this theorem. I already accepted integrals as fact and common formulas before this theorem, so the theorem didn't seem out of place.
This week we also had a practice quiz to help with our preparation for the AP test. It went extremely well, even though during the quiz I was not at all confident in what I was doing. But I didn't mess up anything so I guess I didn't really matter. Hopefully I can be a little more confident on the AP test.
